Which tutorial is best for me?
Of all the tutorials I have had the opportunity to review, those produced Adita Video, Paul Mitton (Mind Meld) and Tony Terrana (Dive Into Liquid), rise to the top in terms of quality and content.  All three tutorial sets do the same thing but they do it quite differently.

  • ADITA tutorials are meticulously planned and scripted utilizing professional voice over talent.  These tutorials are hard core training and come across as extremely methodical and occasionally boring. However, if you think back... high school Chemistry was boring but you learned it.

  • Paul Mitton's Mind Meld is 180 degrees opposite of the ADITA tutorials.  Paul mixes his form of Aussie humor with his many years of professional video production.  Paul will make mistakes during his tutorials.  Some are planned but some (I truly feel) are not planned and come as a result of his "what if" experimentation.  But that's what we do!  The self proclaimed "King of Tangents" is an excellent instructor as are his finished projects.

  • Tony Terrana's Dive Into Liquid is somewhere between ADITA and Mind Meld.  Tony's skills with Liquid are beyond reproach and his enthusiasm of the product and the art become very apparent as you move from lesson to lesson.

So what's the bottom line?

I have divided the Liquid user base into four groups, each possessing a unique set of abilities and behaviors.  Then, based on purely on my subjective assessment, I indicated which group would benefit by each tutorial.

But the real bottom line is... if you have the money and if you have the time, get them all.  What better way to wile away the hours on a cold rainy day that to cuddle up with an Avid Liquid Tutorial!
